A few more photos from our first few days with our new puppy, who we decided to name (drumroll) Sawyer!
I especially enjoy the one of Hudson reading to the dog (he wanted to show him Go Dog, Go)–and of Aron reading him Puppies for Dummies.
Have a great weekend! Here are some things that have caught my eye recently…
The entries in this champagne chair contest are incredible!
What would you tell your 10-year-younger self? (And this is what makes a wedding registry so scary, right?)
Our Ergo baby carrier was indispensable–especially while traveling. This one is made for expressly that purpose. Brilliant!
Lamps that look like (and are) works of art, by Ana Kras.
Why do books smell? (Do you kind of love “old book smell”?)
And in related news: literary fragrances
Happy 100th birthday, Grand Central!
Holy smokes: Holla’ for Challah! This looks amazing.
And I’d like to assuage any guilt over the carb loading with this.
I love Julie Delpy and can’t wait to see this! (BTW, can you imagine being the costume designer who has to pick the single outfit each wears? Pressure!)
Cheeky birthday candles
Are you a blogger? Have you been enjoying the recaps from Alt? I followed along much more closely this year. Any favorite things you gleaned?
Finally, the most viral Superbowl ads of all time.
And P.S. Aron is doing fantastically well. You’d never guess he just had back surgery two weeks ago. Thank you again for all the well wishes!

(ps. when did these boys of ours get so big looking?!?)
AND, somehow i just saw the challah link to my blog — thanks for that
have you made it yet?! delicious.
That puppy is darling! Great name. Love.
these pics are so adorable i could scream (but there are a few sleepers in my house so i’ll be quiet). happy to see and hear that aron is recovering well. reading a book to the puppy is precious… xo
How lucky is Hudson that he gets to grow up with a pup? My husband had a cocker spaniel as a kid and they were truly best friends still when I met him in college.
Ahh so precious!!
SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This so so darn cute…thanks for sharing! And the red leash is perfect.
(thanks for posting the The Paperman, too. That was great!)
These pics are so cute! Checking out the links now!!!
I grew up with a cocker spaniel (a buff one named Dusty), so I have a special place in my heart for them. I love the name you picked out, and am so happy for your family! Dogs really make a house feel like a home.
Great to hear Aron is on the mend, may it continue quickly to a place of full health! Your new puppy and Hudson are soooo cute. I can’t believe how grown up Hudson looks. So sweet!
Sawyer! What a happy looking fellow. Good luck with puppyhood!
Oh my gosh, I totally missed the post about Aron’s back surgery. Glad he’s on the mend! And, hey, puppy kisses can fix all ailments.
glad aron’s doing so well! and ohman, that hudson is getting BIG! when did that happen?!
I love the old book smell, but I’m not sure my husband wants me to smell like it:)
I got my own cutie pie puppy a few months ago (Franklin the Frenchie, seen here: http://rachelupshaw.com/2012/12/03/there-are-no-words/) and I cannot FATHOM how you are handling a toddler and a puppy! You guys deserve a prize!
