Aron shared this discovery with me the other night. What a fun idea!
Makes sense, too: a good trip is sort of like winning the lottery.

this is genius! only problem is, I'll have 'scratch off envy' and start planning trips I can't afford so that I can peel back another destination on the map! x
very, very cool!
You're so right, Emily! Risky!
LOVE THIS! I found your blog from Simple Lovely and have enjoyed reading about your travels. I also posted the scratch off map on my blog with a link to yours.
Thanks!

Um: why doesn't Ireland have a name? The cartographers don't think we are part of the UK, do they? Wow. That whole War of Independence was really worth it, then.
Oh my goodness, Elizabeth! You should write them. What an oversight–especially as I believe it's made in the UK!
Goodness, am interested in that comment from Elizabeth. What a mistake to make in an otherwise adorable product!
This was re-posted on Cup of Jo and I saw that one of the commenters contacted the company (good for them. This is what she (Mary) learned:

"Hello again
This is just to let my fellow Irish country people know that after contacting the people at 'I want one of those dot com' (who sell the map in question) a very helpful lady (who happened to be Irish!) let me know that the word Ireland is actually printed on the map – to the left of the country, in the Atlantic so to speak. It's not shown on the Europe close up but is if you click on the world wide map on their site. Phew! We do exist after all. Short lived anonymity."
Good to know!
