High Summer

We’ve reached that point in the summer when free weekends seem scarce and friends are packing up for vacations—and it all seems to be going by too fast. We’ve been trying to soak it up as best we can, with bike rides and trips to the American River. (Last weekend, we found this gorgeous swimming hole on the river that used to be used as a municipal pool!)
