Case Study Pots and Snake plants

by Ashley on March 14, 2013

We just potted our Snake plant and I love how easy-to-grow and architectural it is. I just saw that West Elm’s blog, Front & Main, featured one the other day.

What are your favorite houseplants? Also, we just picked up these beautiful Case Study planters by Modernica from Room & Board. Does anybody have a good source for straight-sided black and white pots like these (or like these ones by Architectural Pottery)? We keep getting outbid on Ebay—it’s incredible how expensive they can be!

Sanseviera/Snake plant/Mother-in-law’s tongue is my favorite house plant since I was a kid.
It was in my 40s that I saw the tiny white orchid like flowers.

I love pothos because they are so low maintenance and also easy to cut new starts from. I have a snake plant too that is pretty low key. I love those modernica pots, maybe a splurge this spring…

I bought a snake plant a few months ago and just bought another, smaller one, last night. I’m going through a plant phase–can’t get enough! Maybe west elm/west elm market for plant pots? They’ve got some nice ones in their site.

I just had a very strange time trying to comment on one of the babble posts, fyi. I was attempting to comment with Babble’s form, not the Facebook one.

What a bummer to hear that! I just looked and saw that your comment was in but not “approved.” I changed the status and replied. Thanks for letting me know!

Those plants are incredibly common in Malta (tiny Mediterranean island), although I can’t say I’ve ever seen the flowers. Odd.

Ikea might have a few options.

Ooo…I love those planters. I don’t have much a green thumb, so currently I’m sticking to an air plant. I love the contrast of the green with the bright white.

I love having house plants! It’s nice to have some living green tucked in among your things. I have several pothos in pretty pots – they’re so hardy. I’ve been meaning to get a snake plant as well because they do have a neat look to them. I hear that they’re also fairly hardy house plants too.
