Yesterday–with sunshine and 60-degree temperatures–got me so excited for spring. It’s been an incredibly mild winter (I’m so grateful because I was dreading trudging around through sloshy intersections while carrying or pushing Hudson–or worse, being stuck inside), but it still can’t compete with flowers and strawberries and blankets on the lawn… all the things that spring brings promise of. Before long, we’ll be standing over Central Park atop the Met, hardly able to imagine the weight of a heavy coat. It’s funny how quickly you forget, actually.
I forgot to mention, but we’re staying in the “guest quarters” on Pia’s lovely blog while she focuses on New York. Actually, in real life, Pia is no doubt focusing on her beautiful new baby girl, born on Valentine’s Day. Congratulations, Pia!
Have a wonderful weekend!

what a beautiful photo. i know what you mean about how we forget. i like to say “this is my favorite season, except for all the others.”
It was seventy four degrees here in Sacramento yesterday. A dream! It also, though, makes me wonder how hot the summer will be. Urgh.
Oooo! This photo makes me so excited for my trip to New York in June! We have had a crazy mild winter in Salt Lake but I know winter can always stretch into June here so I am trying to not get ahead of myself.
It feels like spring in Oakland too, all sun and 70 degrees. Time to break out the sandals!
Spring is so fun!
