Pure happiness! I think Hudson could sense our excitement as we put him in his first bathing suit last week. We wrapped him up in our big heavy coats and dashed across the street to the Y for “family swim” hour, and his first time in the water (other than a bath, of course).
He eased in slowly, testing the water with his fingertips, and then was splashing around in no time!
We’ve gone to the pool twice now, and I am so happy to say that he loved it! And so did we.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh my gosh that is so sweet. He def is a natural!!
I didn’t start swimming until I was older but I loved it. I always has swimming party’s at the Y as a way of having a summery sport party in the winter.
Such a great idea, Nicole!
This is just too cute!
awwww, I loved the video,, he is a natural!!! he knew just when to use his arms, and cute bathing suit he has on. Have a wonderful weekend.
We recently started swimming with Levi, too! Where did you get Hudson’s bathing suit?
It’s by Bobo Choses and we picked it up at a Sweet William sale at the end of summer. It’s so teeny and cute, so I was shocked to see that it fits him with room to spare!
Wow, look at those arms go! Seems like he loves it. Future Olympian?
OMG, but he is so cute with his little swimming cap … What sweetest moment …
Michael Phelps eat your heart out!
He just looks like he’s taken to the water like a pro with his little swim strokes!
How sweet!!!!!!!!!!! :-]
Love it! It’s so great how he just loves the water! What joy!
oh my goodness! this is just too adorable!
Another water polo player in the making!
Just signed my lil’ guy up for swimming at 92nd St. Y. Recommendation on the swim cap and bathing diaper you bought him? Did you get them at the Y store?
Oooh! Have fun! We went to Paragon and bought the smallest swim cap they had. As you can see it’s still a bit roomy. I think it’s hilarious that it’s required–his hair is shorter than the dads’ chest hair! He reminds me of the Amish ladies; he could sell pretzels at Reading Terminal in Philly!
The bathing suit is by Bobo Choses from Sweet William and we picked up swimming diapers (little splashers?) at the drugstore. It’s the cutest bathingsuit, if not the fastest drying one.
P.S. It has little ice cream cones on it!
SOOOO cute! Gosh, that face gets me every time.
What did you use to take those pictures in the water?
Your child is ridiculously cute!
Thanks, Anne! We have underwater housing for our small Canon Powershot SD940. We got it for SCUBA diving originally.
That’s the definition of happy
These pictures made me smile! Hugs from Spain!
Ooohhh, what a treat on this Friday! This is all too adorable! And I think it’s great that you get to do all these activities in the winter.
So cute! Mila loves the water too! It’s so good to get them used to the water early.
it’s been so long since i’ve visited my beloved little blogs that i’m just now meeting hudson, he is just too cute for words!! congrats you guys, what a lovely family
he sure seems to be having fun, his face tells it all, pure elation!
Precious! Haha, it does look like a pretzel-selling Amish lady hat
Oh my word he is so sweet in that little swim cap!
Are you KIDDING me?!! You guys know just where to hit! 17 seconds of pure adorable! So, sweet!
Ha, ha! Thanks! (And so fun seeing all of those fun photos of you at Alt, by the way!)
Let me just say that I don’t normally pay all that much attention to blog entries regarding kids, unless of course it’s a friend’s blog. My kids are grown so my interests tend to be different now for the most part. BUT this little guy has stolen my heart! Your little Hudson puts the biggest grin on my face. You three obviously adore each other. It shows. That video is just the cutest darn thing. Ever!
That’s so sweet, Leone. Thank you!
I’m not sure who’s happier in that video – Hudson or Aron! So sweet.
So true! Aron was absolutely giddy!
