Top notch

by Aron on December 9, 2010

Ever since we got to take in the views from the Top of the Rock with Ashley’s parents–soon after moving to the city–I’ve been dying to go back. Honestly, I think about it every time there is a clear day. My family’s visit gave me the excuse I’ve been waiting for.
They have an enclosed section if the freezing, whipping, winter wind gets to be too much.
You can get fooled into thinking your not that high after a while. (But just look down.)
(Be sure you don’t miss the historic photos and videos they play while you wait in line.)

I think that anywhere high up in NYC is one of the best views in the world.

That's where I got engaged so I'm very fond of the location. Great photos!

Gosh I love it up there, too! I've been to NYC three times and each time we always take a trip up there (it's the one touristy 'thing' we allow in every visit!). So, we've been lucky enough to see the park and city in the depths of winter, fall and the height of summer. Summer was actually the worst time for us because it was so hazy. Our last trip up there in September this year was probably the best because the skies were crystal clear and it was at dusk. All the buildings looked like shimmering gold towers as the light faded. Beautiful.

Great photos! I've always wanted to do that (someday, someday…) but looking down will NOT be done for me! I'm fine, until I look down, then i freak out a little, then I'm fine again! hahaa
