Wild bouquet

by Aron on July 6, 2010

Green spaces may not seem synonymous with Manhattan, but the city loves its parks–and they’re among the most well-cared for (and most beautiful) I’ve ever seen. Flower beds tend to be done in the English-garden-style; the hydrangeas have been particularly amazing of late, and are blooming all over the city. These photos were gathered on walks, from the Hudson River Parkway to Battery Park, from Madison Square park to Stuyvesant Square.

I'd never seen such beautiful blue and purple hydrangea till I moved to New York – they're almost as amazing as the sugar magnolias.

Beautiful to have these in the city. I'm just waiting for our hydrangeas to bloom and hope to post a few lovely photos soon.

What beautiful flowers! I've never seen so many different colors of hydrangeas! Thank you for commenting on my blog! I'm glad to know there are health benefits to drinking coffee, too! ;)

I just made wild flower bouquets for a friend's wedding and it felt so special. I love these photos- so much clarity and contrast.

These are so gorgeous. I have some in my yard that are so large, people come and photograph them! They are amazing. I take no credit. They were here when we moved in, but boy are they lovely.
