Waterside dining

by Aron on July 7, 2010

As hot as its been (and it is hot), we still have a hard time eating dinner indoors in the summer. Thankfully, the Hudson cools the air significantly and lends some refreshing breezes. The other night, we picked up some Greek-takeout and set up on the Hudson River Greenway.

We’ll definitely be doing this again!

This looks completely fantastic, and I have to admit I'm jealous. We are in winter-like conditions in Southern California. The heat has turned itself on for the 5th day in a row.

good grief.

Thank you, all! The walkways along the Hudson are one of our favorite parts of the city. If you're ever in NY…

Sarah Jane–I'll be checking out your list of outdoor eating spots; thanks for the further inspiration!

Awww… Claire, sweet!

We found the ginger beer at a deli, but I've seen this brand at Whole Foods, too. The takeout is from a spot called Kefi on the UWS (a friend, Abbey, introduced us to it–delicious).

I hope you find some useful tips or inspiration, Elisa! You'll have to share details when you're back. My parents will be stopping in Dubrovnik and Kotor on an upcoming cruise.

My kind of night. I know the Hudson for my daily runs, but eating (especially your Greek spread) seems much more fun. Lovely pictures!
