My cousin, Jill, and her husband Pete, will soon be welcoming a new baby! They announced the news to my aunt and uncle in the cutest way: Jill bought felt letters and spelled “Big Brother” on her one-year-old’s t-shirt, before bringing him over. He seems to be on it, too–look at that huge grin! It took me a minute to get the message when I saw the photo… which made the good news all the sweeter. Isn’t that clever?

We did that also, but with a sign saying "grosser Brueder" that we hung around big brother's neck. We sent that to the german relatives. For the American relatives, we sent the ultrasound photo!
