Watermelon kegger

by Ashley on June 29, 2010

I spotted this on You Are My Fave last week and couldn’t stop thinking about it! Wouldn’t this be a fun for a Fourth of July party? Scoop out the watermelon and have that with a barbecue, and then cut a hole to fit a keg shank. Fill with drink of choice (watermelon sours would be perfect, but any summery, pulp-free drink would do), et voila.

I've seen one of these! At a med school party. Future docs know how to party. This particular watermelon was filled with tequila. Very tasty watermelon-infused tequila. You don't need fancy glassware. You just put your mouth under the spout and let 'er rip.

That sounds like quite a party, Nicole! Manders–click on linked "keg shank" and it will take you to a vendor. I think even watermelon lemonade might taste better this way, but I'll take Sangria, too!
