I had business at the Natural History Museum today; so, this year was my turn to walk up the parade route and take in all the bagpipers. It was a lovely day for a parade: nearly 70, with sunshine all day long! (Although I think bagpipe-playing was intended for cooler weather.)
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Thanks for the comment. I love your blog! Great photos and feel of New York. Someday I hope I make the St. Patrick's Day parade … love the bagpipes and little girls in plaid!
Oooh, I just love a St. Paddy's day parade! Lovely photos.
Aron and Ashley, you capture the parade very well. You two have a great eye(s?) for detail. I was actually in NYC yesterday researching a WIP and catching up with old friends and family. Such gorgeous weather!
On your post below, thanks for the link. I forgot to clip that coffee article before I recycled the paper. I had a great iced cappuccino at Delicatessen in SoHo with a friend. I think good company increases one’s enjoyment at a café. I shall revisit your blog when I’m feeling homesick. It’s so nice to connect with you, via Aron on my blog.
What great St. Paddys weather! In Boston people were running around in shorts!
Oh I am a fool for bagpipes
Happy belated St. Patrick's Day to you too. Anna
These pictures are wonderfully Gaelic, although aren't they meant to be Celtic?
The next thing that comes to mind: I can't believe that it is 70 degrees in NYC. Didn't you have snow a week ago? Temperature changes are much milder in England and we were so happy to get up into the 50s this week. I was working at Jane Austen House today, and every single person commented on the "lovely" weather.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and offering advice on Paris. You may be sure that coffee and wine will feature heavily in whatever we decide to do. We are staying in the Marais area, btw.
lovely photos!
lovely blog!
